In Mount Vernon adult co-ed softball action May 7, at Memorial Park in Mount Vernon, in 20 games eight teams scored more than 20 runs, 22 scores were in double figures, there were two shutouts and the low-scoring game saw only 11 runs in a 6-5 decision.

SOS/Bad Company 21, Palms Pro Books 10

SOS/Bad Company took an early 3-0 lead and then exploded for four runs in the fourth, six runs in the fifth, a run in the sixth and seven runs in the seventh to cruise to a 21-10 victory over Palms Pro Books.

Ethan Abell was the star for SOS/Bad Company, gathering six hits, including two homers and a double. Jordan Burson had five hits, including four doubles in the win. Jordan Smith had a double and a triple as well.

Palms Pro Books was led by Josh Preece, who homered and singled twice. Jordan Good had two doubles and a single. Justin Woodring knocked a triple and a single.

B Unlimited Services 20, KIS Dog Training/Mr. Tax 5

B Unlimited Services capitalized off a 14-run second inning, en route to a dominant 20-5 win over KIS Dog Training/Mr. Tax.

Zach Bragg hit a homer, two triples and a single for B Unlimited Services. Brandon McLaughlin was one triple shy of the cycle, hitting a homer, a double and a single. Kenzie Rayburn hit a pair of doubles.

KIS Dog Training/Mr. Tax was led by Nick Pollock, who homered and doubled. Jacob Duvall hit a homer.

Peppy’s Pizza 11, B2 Auto Styling 5

Peppy’s Pizza got a big day out of Tyler Ruhl at the plate, homering and gathering three hits in an 11-5 win over B2 Auto Styling.

Ruhl hit a single and a double to go with his homer. Zhoe Joyner hit a triple and two singles. Melissa Werner had four hits on the day, including a double. 

B2 Auto Styling was led by Trey Kendrick, who homered and hit a single. Greg Robinson had two doubles and a single.

Maximum Nutrition 8, Buckeye Crane 6

Cade Finnell smashed a pair of homers to lead Maximum Nutrition to victory over Buckeye Crane, 8-6.

Colten Landis also had a solid day for Maximum Nutrition, with four hits, including a double. Hunter Shields hit a double as well.

Buckeye Crane’s Ben Harrod hit a homer and singled. Also recording hits were Dylan Colopy, Kevin Ernest and Brittany Fravel.

Maximum Nutrition 21, Palms Pro Books 10

Maximum Nutrition had an 11-run first inning and a five-run second inning to set the tone early, and despite Palms Pro Books putting six on the board in the third, Maximum Nutrition took a convincing 21-10 win.

Cade Finnell homered, doubled twice and singled for Maximum Nutrition. Colten Finnell doubled and tripled. Colten Landis singled, doubled and tripled. Hunter Shields homered, doubled and singled three times.

Palms Pro Books was led by Josh Preece who homered, tripled and singled. Rob Preece had a double and a single. Dustin Palms doubled and singled twice. Justin Woodring knocked a double as well.

Maximum Nutrition 27, SOS/Bad Company 14

It was a close three-run game until the sixth inning between Maximum Nutrition and SOS/Bad Company, when Maximum Nutrition went off for 12 runs to secure a 27-14 win.

Colton Finnell hit two homers, doubled and singled for Maximum Nutrition. Cade Finnell had a homer, a triple and four singles. Hunter Shields hit a homer and two singles. 

SOS/Bad Company was led by two Justin Shaw homers and a single. Jordan Burson hit a triple, two doubles and a single. Dustin McDowell hit a homer.

Bad Company/SOS 14, Complete Comfort 0

Bad Company/SOS scored a run in the first, nine runs in the second and four runs in the third while blanking Complete Comfort in a 14-0 win.

Adam O’Bryan led the charge in the win with a homer and a single. Jordan Burson hit a pair of doubles, while Ethan Abell and Justin Shaw each had three hits including a double.

Complete Comfort had two hits apiece from Ashley Wyatt and Ben Sprang for their only hits of the day.

Buckeye Crane 12, K and T Handyman Services 0

Buckeye Crane scored a pair of runs in the second inning, three more in the third and fourth and four runs in the fifth, while holding K and T Handyman Services scoreless in a 12-0 win.

Sammy Hunter doubled twice for Buckeye Crane. Zayde Zolman and Kevin Ernest each hit a double and a single. Lacie Ernest and Brooklyn Tipton had three singles each.

K and T had a two-hit day from Mac Ernsberger and also got a hit from Tristin Caudill and Corey Webb.

Gunslingers 7, B2 Auto Styling 6

The Gunslingers edged out B2 Auto Styling 7-6, breaking a tie in the final frame to take the victory.

Travis Born hit a homer and tripled for the Gunslingers. Carson Crowner tripled, doubled and singled. Caden Flynn doubled and singled, while Reagan Marshall had three hits. 

Trey Kendrick homered and singled for B2 Auto Styling, and Ross Boyd hit a double.

Buckeye Crane 12, Outkast 9

Buckeye Crane had a 12-3 lead going into the seventh inning, and while Outkast showed some guts with six runs, it wasn’t enough to mount a comeback and Buckeye Crane walked away with a 12-9 win.

Dylan Colopy had a homer and four singles for Buckeye Crane. Ben Harrod had three singles and a double, while Brooklyn Tipton had a double and two singles.

Outkast had a double and a single for Outkast. Alvin Wengerd and Kaylynn Ott each had three singles.

Complete Comfort 17, Outkast 2

Complete Comfort was dominant against Outkast, posting a 10-0 lead after two innings and never looking back in a 17-2 win.

Complete Comfort was led by Devon Shortridge, who tripled, doubled and singled twice. Ashley Wyatt had a double and two singles. Carl Busse had four singles. Stewart Swihart hit a double in the win.

Alvin Wengerd doubled and singled for Outkast. Matt Ott recorded a double and a single.

Palms Pro Book 11, OH Pizza and Prime 10

OH Pizza and Prime led 10-8 going into the last inning, but Palms Pro Book left it all out on the field, scoring three runs and coming behind for the 11-10 win.

Palms Pro Book was led by Josh Preece, who homered, tripled and singled. Justin Woodring also homered and Rob Preece doubled and singled. Kiara Brim had four singles in the game.

Isiah Reynolds led OH Pizza and Prime with a triple, double and single. Raymond Hernandez doubled twice and singled. Andy Dudgeon and Katie Whitney each doubled and singled. Garrett Lamb also doubled.

TJ Thorpe/JMT 18, OH Pizza and Prime 6

It was a blowout from the start with TJ Thorpe/JMT going up eight runs after two innings and then cruising to an 18-6 win.

Bryce Geiger hit a homer, a double and a single to lead the winning charge. Also doubling was Sam Loppicolo, Erica Herzog, Artie McAndrew and Rachel Goeppinger. 

OH Pizza and Prime had three hits total by Raymond Hernandez, Zack Walls and Isiah Reynolds.

Gunslingers 17, Coffing Electric 4

The game started close with the Gunslingers up 4-3, but then the Gunslingers went off for five runs in the second, a run in the third, four runs in the fourth and three more in the fifth to cruise to a 17-4 win.

Brock Talbott led the Gunslingers with a homer, double and a single. Brandon Patterson smashed a double and a single.

Coffing Electric was led by Josh Davis with a homer and a single. Dillon Randall had a double and a single.

TJ Thorpe 10, Coffing Electric 3

After a pair of scoreless innings, TJ Thorpe broke things open in the middle innings with a three-run third, four-run fourth and three-run fifth, to take a 10-3 win.

Sam Loppicolo, Artie McAndrew and Cole Pinkerton all had doubles, with Pinkerton adding two singles for TJ Thorpe.

Coffing Electric was led by Ray Ray Young, who hit a homer, double and a single. Dillon Randall hit three singles in the game.

TJ Thorpe/JMT 26, Gunslingers 5

TJ Thorpe/JMT jumped out to a huge 15-0 lead after one inning and never let up, recording seven runs in the second and four in the third, en route to a 26-5 win over the Gunslingers.

Bryce Geiger and Sam Loppicolo each had a single, double and homer. Artie McAndrew homered, and also had two singles and a double. Zach Calabretta and Mike Patterson each tripled and singled.

The Gunslingers were led by Caden Flyn and Brandon Patterson, who each homered and singled. Travis Born homered as well.

Coffing Electric 6, A+ Auto Brokers 5

Coffing Electric was down 5-2 going into the sixth inning, but they put a four spot on the board to take a 6-5 win over A+ Auto Brokers.

JJ Davis led Coffing Electric with a homer in the win. Brandon Frye just missed a cycle with a single, double and triple. Ray Ray Young hit a double and singled.

A+ Auto Brokers had singles from Cody Cockrey, Emily Murphy, Dave Murphy, Cade Morningstar, Taylynn Morningstar, Sam Yoder, Mose Miller and Brandy Smalls.

KIS Dog Training/Mr. Tax 17, A+ Auto Brokers 8

KIS Dog Training/Mr. Tax got a solid day at the plate out of Nick Pollock, who only needed a double to hit the cycle in a 17-8 win over A+ Auto Brokers.

Nick Pollock hit a homer, triple and single to lead the charge. Jacob Taylor hit a single and a double. Emily Miller, Anthony Miller and Justin Duval each hit a double and singled. 

Cade Morningstar knocked a home run and two singles for A+ Auto Brokers. Cody Cockrell tripled and hit two singles.

Peppy’s Pizza 22, KIS Dog Training/Mr. Tax 21

It was a high-scoring affair and a battle right to the end between Peppy’s Pizza and KIS Dog Training/Mr. Tax. Down 22-16 in the seventh, KIS Dog Training/Mr. Tax gave Peppy’s a run for their money with five runs, but Peppy’s held on for a 22-21 win.

Leading Peppy’s was Hunter Tollison with a homer, double and a triple. Alex Hall hit two triples and two singles. Mel Werner had five hits, including a double.

Jacob Duvall of KIS Dog Training/Mr. Tax hit a homer and singled twice for KIS Dog Training/Mr. Tax. Nate Orr hit three doubles and both Anthony Miller and Lyndsey Gallwitz had three singles and a double.

B Unlimited Services 20, K and T Handyman Services 3

It was a lopsided game from the start, with B Unlimited Services jumping out to a 15-2 lead after three and then cruising to a 20-3 win.

Cole Perkins led the charge with a triple, double and single for B Unlimited Services. JJ Eshelman hit two doubles and three singles. Brandon McLaughlin hit a pair of doubles and a single.

Lee Caudill homered and doubled for K and T, while Corey Webb added a pair of singles.
