PUBLIC NOTICE
Sealed bids will be received by the Public Library of Mount Vernon & Knox County as provided in this notice for the HVAC Replacement Project. Questions may be directed to H. Lewis Hinkel Jr., PE, CEM, CEA at hlh.consulting.engineer@gmail.com
Copies of the Contract Documents, which include additional details of the Project, are available from RB Print Shop, Inc. at http://www.rbprintshop.com/
projects-to-bid/. Bidders may also view the Contract Documents at the Main Library located at 201 N Mulberry Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050 after contacting the Owner at (740) 392-2665 to set an appointment.
Bids shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to Public Library of Mount Vernon & Knox County Board of Trustees, ATTN: Dee Durfee, Library Clerk/Treasurer, 201 N Mulberry Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050, and plainly marked on the outside “PLMVKC HVAC REPLACEMENT PROJECT BID”. Bids will be received until 12:00 noon, local time Thursday, April 20, 2023 and immediately after the deadline the bids will be opened and publicly read in the Multipurpose Room (Room A/B) located in the basement of the Main Library.
A pre-bid conference will be held on April 6, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the 2nd Floor Meeting Room (”Youth Services Storytime Room”) at the Main Library.
All bids must include a Bid Guaranty, as described in the Instructions to Bidders. Prevailing wage rates apply. No bidder may withdraw its bid within 60 days after the opening; the Board reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject any or all bids, and conduct necessary investigations to determine bidder responsibility.
