The alleys were alive on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at Galion’s Victory Lanes. The Northmor Golden Knights bowling teams hosted the East Knox Bulldogs in a KMAC battle.
The Bulldog boys went into the match with a spotless record of 9-0 after sweeping Mount Gilead a week earlier. The Golden Knight boys went in with a solid 4-2 record, losing only to a talented Fredericktown team and to second-place Mount Gilead. East Knox’s girls went in with a 7-2 record and a slight grasp on first place in the KMAC.
The Lady Knights, who qualified for the state tournament last year, have had a rough season by their standards, with a 4-2 record in KMAC play.
The Bulldogs swept the match with both varsity teams winning over Northmor. This win brought the East Knox boys to 10-0 in the KMAC and the Lady Bulldogs to 8-2. The victory also strengthened their holds on first place in the KMAC. Meanwhile, both Northmor varsity boys and girls teams fell to 4-3 in KMAC play.
The East Knox boys took the win with a team score of 2192 to Northmor’s 2033. The Bulldogs were led by juniors Will Jensen, who rolled a 403 series with a 234 game, and Jordan Hull, who shot a 395 series with a 216 game.
