The number of Ohio job listings posted online decreased by 1,722 ads from Oct. 14 through Nov. 13.

According to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, a total of 67,711 job openings were posted to the Central Ohio Online network during the month-long period, representing a decrease of 1,722 ads from the previous reporting period. However, this is still an increase of 14,007 ads compared to the same period last year.

The numbers represent job ads listed for Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin, Knox, Licking, Logan, Madison, Marion, Morrow, Pickaway and Union counties. 

Top skills in demand were customer service, listed on 14,096 ads, operations on 11,207 ads and scheduling on 9,223 ads.

According to Job and Family Services, the three occupations with the highest number of local job ads were registered nurses with 2,773, heavy and tractor-trailer truck driver with 2,686 and software developer with 2,142.

More than half of all the job offerings were within the median salary range. The upper middle-income category had the most extensive salary range represented, with 28.1% of ads offering salaries of $50,000 to $79,000 annually. In second place was the middle-income category, with 24.9% of ads offering salaries of $30,000 to $49,000 annually. Entry Level jobs made up 13.1% of the ads.

The top three employers with the most local job ads were Nationwide Children's Hospital with 2,089, Ohio State University with 1,290 and Amazon with 1,179.
