Do you know someone who is carrying on the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.? Consider nominating them for the Ohio Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Commission’s annual awards that honor Ohioans advancing Dr. King’s principles of nonviolent change and the pursuit of racial, social, and economic justice.
Individuals and organizations can be nominated but time is running out to recognize your colleagues, friends, and neighbors for the 2023 MLK Awards. Nominations must be submitted by Oct. 30 to be considered for recognition at the 2023 Ohio Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Celebration in Columbus.
Award categories include Individual, Organization, Collaborative, Youth: Capturing the Vision of Dr. King, and the Governor’s Humanitarian Award. Submit your nominations electronically by downloading and completing the nomination form at DAS.Ohio.gov/MLK and emailing them to mlk@das.ohio.gov.
The 12-member commission receives administrative support from DAS.
