Morgan Grange to provide lunch for conference March 12

Morgan Grange #829 met for its monthly meeting on Friday, Feb. 11, at the grange hall. Master Will Smith presided over the meeting with seventeen members present. Prior to the meeting, representatives from New Directions presented a program detailing their Capital Campaign and provided information about their shelter and the services they offer.

Jim Hughes reported on the progress of installing the LED light bulbs and the new exit lights. Ned Campbell finished installing the water fountain on the lower level. Bob Smith finished the repairs needed on the trophy case. JoAnn Walton expressed the grange members thanks to all those who worked so hard doing the repairs on the grange hall. 

Members with birthdays include Mary Bebout, Austin Campbell, Tom Carpenter and Jane Taylor. Tom and Oneta Debolt are celebrating a wedding anniversary this month.

Pomona Grange met at Morgan on Monday, Feb. 21,  at 7 p.m. Morgan will be providing lunch for the Lecturer's and Community Service Conference on Saturday, March 12 at the state grange office. On Saturday, March 26, the traveling Sixth Degree team will be at the Memorial Building in Mount Vernon.  

Our next meeting will be on Friday, March 11, at 7:30 pm. Please bring your baking contest entries and a new stuffed animal for the Bunnies for Babes project.

Refreshments were served following the meeting while members played a game of Bingo. Jim Hughes was the winner of the $20 prize and the prize for the next meeting will be $20.
