MOUNT VERNON – Dr. Hamza Dodo joined Cross Creek Dental Care at 917 Coshocton Ave., in Mount Vernon in the plaza with Marshalls, as a new associate dentist.
He brings five years of experience to the general dentistry practice that offers services ranging from basic crowns and dentures to implants and Invisalign.
“I've found the best thing about dentistry is meeting people from all different walks of life,” Dodo said. “I really like hearing about what other people are up to before or after they stop in for their appointments.”
He graduated from Cleveland Heights High School and earned a bachelors of arts in chemistry from Ohio State University before attending its College of Dentistry.
He had his general practice residency at St. Elizabeth's Dental Clinic in Youngstown, practicing hospital based dentistry with patients with the highest need.
His family moved to the United States when he was 2 years old, and he grew up in Cleveland Heights. His older brother has moved back to Nigeria, and his sister works as a physical therapist in Cleveland.
He plays basketball in a men's league and plays guitar casually. He enjoys hiking and camping with his girlfriend.
Dodo joins Dr. Dorothy Xiang Dunker, an associated with the practice since 2019. She emigrated from China with her parents to the United States as a young child.
She earned her undergraduate degree in chemistry and her Doctor of Dental Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. She has taken advanced clinical classes in subjects like bone grafting, sinus augmentation, and dental implantology.
Cross Creek Dental offers a membership plan for patients without insurance that covers cleaning appointments and discounts on all other services.
The office provides up-to-date technology. Team members remain active in continuing education.
