MOUNT VERNON – Brenda Kay Keller, 73, of Mount Vernon passed away on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2022, at Knox Community Hospital. She was born on Sept. 7, 1948, in Grayson, Ky., to the late Charles R. and Lillian E. (Gearhart) Gee.
Brenda was a faithful member of Saint Luke Catholic Church in Danville. She retired from the Mount Vernon Developmental Center. Brenda enjoyed quilting, crocheting, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandkids.
Brenda is survived by her children, Roger (Marie) Holland and their children, Andrea and Lucas of Howard; and Stephanie (Zach) Blakely and their children Elijah and Nathaniel of Mount Vernon; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Donald T. Keller, on April 9, 2014; and siblings, Albert Tackett, Carol Lamberton and Donna High.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26, at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 East High St., Mount Vernon. A prayer service will follow the visitation.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 27, Saint Luke Catholic Church, 307 North Market St., Danville, with Rev. FatherDan Olvera as the Celebrant. Brenda will be laid to rest beside her husband, Don in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
