Walk In Vaccination Clinic & Info Session. Ready to get your COVID-19 vaccine, but haven’t had time? Thinking about getting vaccinated…but you have a few lingering questions? Vaccines offered to all people age 12+. Just bring your photo ID and insurance card (if you have one – this is not required). A vaccine ambassador and public health nurse will be on hand to talk with you about getting vaccinated. The first 50 people to get vaccinated are eligible to choose from an array of prizes worth $50.

Peer-to-Peer: Talking to Loved Ones About the COVID-19 Vaccine. Are you struggling to connect with loved ones who are vaccine-hesitant? Join us on Zoom to discuss some communication strategies for having conversations to help empower your friends and family so they can make informed decisions about COVID-19 vaccination. This interactive webinar will include techniques and tips for deep discussion, listening and leading with ethics of mutual care and respect.

Do Your Own Research. There’s a wealth of information online –  but there’s also a bevy of misinformation, hoaxes and scams. How do you tell the difference between credible information…and far-out claims? The Library is here to help. On Feb. 4, from noon to 1 p.m., your PLMVKC reference librarians and local public health nurses will help you learn how to “Do Your Own Research” in this hour-long seminar. Learn to protect yourself from medical fraud, online scams, and COVID-19 misinformation.

Kisses for Jabs! Mobile Vaccination Clinic. Celebrate Valentine's Day by getting vaccinated to protect yourself and your loved ones from COVID-19! Vaccines offered to all people age 12+. Just bring your photo ID and insurance card (if you have one – this is not required). A vaccine ambassador and public health nurse will be on hand to talk with you about getting vaccinated. The first 50 people to get vaccinated are eligible to choose from an array of prizes worth $50. And the library staff are giving out (chocolate) Kisses to everyone who vaccinates.

Talk the Vax. A public "listening session" for vaccine-hesitant people to ask questions of a panel of local doctors, health practitioners and Knox Public Health staff. This format allows community members to drive the conversation and get straight answers on the spot. The event would be followed by an on-site vaccination clinic. At least one of these sessions will focus on vaccinating children against COVID-19.

If you’re ready to get vaccinated or want to talk with a vaccine ambassador before you make a decision, stop by. No appointment required. Vaccines offered to all people age 12+. The first 50 people to get vaccinated are eligible to choose from an array of prizes worth $50. Everyone who gets vaccinated gets a box of cereal.
