Financial assistance for COVID-19-related funeral expenses is available through the Federal Emergency Management Association (FEMA), according to an agency press release.
To qualify, the expenses must have been incurred on or after Jan. 20, 2020, and may not be used in duplication of other programs.
Since FEMA began the program, over $1 billion in assistance has been distributed, the release said.
