JOHNSTOWN – William “Bill” Lawrence Moran III passed away quietly at home the afternoon of Oct. 15, 2021, aged 63. Bill was born in Mount Vernon, to William L. Moran Jr. and Phyllis Coffay on Oct. 22, 1957.

He is preceded in death by both parents as well as Jack Coffay, Tracy Queen and Paul Queen.

He is survived by wife of 32 years, Elizabeth Ann Moran; children, William B. Moran (Dana), Kylene Cornwell (Josh), and Steven Moran (Aubrey); grandchildren, Hayden and Annaliese Cornwell, Hunter, Liliana, and Everly Moran; brother, Steve Moran (Sharon) and sister, Kim Laughlin (Mike); and step-mother, Sally Moran.

Bill was the owner-operator of a Subway restaurant in Lexington for 21 years. His labor there allowed him to “settle down with a country girl” in a home he helped to build in Johnstown. His free time was largely spent maintaining that property; planting fruit and nut trees, a yearly vegetable garden, endless renovations to the interior of the home, and some hand-built out buildings. His actual relaxation was often in front of the TV with a Budweiser watching the Browns. Bill's life and memory are a blessing to those he loved and who love him still.

All friends and family are welcome to pay respects at a graveside memorial service at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 29, at Bird Cemetery in Mount Vernon. Arrangements handled by CROUSE-KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME. An online memorial will be available at www.ckfraley.com.
