10 guilty on various charges

MOUNT VERNON – Judge John Thatcher found 10 guilty after arraignments and hearings were held at the Mount Municipal Court on Sept. 21.

Estel Martin, 47, Heath, driving under suspension, $200 fine; speeding, $35 fine; and not wearing a seatbelt. 

Thomas Sherrills, 54, Mount Vernon, failing to reinstate his operator's license, $300 fine. 

Dusten Bell, 38, Mount Vernon, driving under an FRA suspension, pay court costs only. 

Robert Barcus, 58, Mount Vernon, operating a vehicle while under the influence, $1,000 fine, 365 days in jail with 303 days suspended, three years of community control and must complete an Intensive Outpatient Program, and suspended operator's license for three years. 

Robert Hubbard, 34, Centerburg, possession of drug paraphernalia, 21 days in jail. 

Katelyn Cooper, 31, Mount Vernon, disorderly conduct, credit for time served.

Shawn Culler, 47, Mount Vernon, disorderly conduct with persisting behavior, 29 days in jail. 

Dorothy Hunt, 23, Mount Vernon, endangering children, 180 days in jail with 170 days suspended, two years' probation and must complete a parenting class and complete 10 hours of community service. 

Logan Rhea, 25, Mount Vernon, operating a vehicle while under the influence, $500 fine, 180 days in jail with 177 days suspended, two years of community control and must attend and complete a 72-hour driver intervention program. 

Assistant Director of Law Brittany Whitney represented the City of Mount Vernon and the State of Ohio in these cases.
