MOUNT VERNON – Russell L. Patrick, 95, of Mount Vernon passed away on September 7, 2021, at The Laurels of Mount Vernon. He was born on Sept. 22, 1925, to Luther and Stella (Major) Patrick in Goshen, Ohio.
Russ was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran. He was a member of the Gay Street United Methodist Church. Russ was a big sports fan and loved fishing in his spare time. Russ was a mechanical engineer and was most recently employed by Grumman Flxible.
Russ is survived by his wife, Barbara Patrick; a daughter, Linda (Dave) Kinsey of New Philadelphia; a son, Christopher (Hua) Patrick of North Miami Beach, Fla.; daughters, Debbie (Enos) Banda of Bethesda, Md., and Liz (Sam) Springer of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Dave, Matt, Albert, Kevin, Mathewe, Arianne, Kai, Austin and Justin; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bill (Shirley) Patrick of Lake Mary, Fla.
Russ was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Harold Patrick, Ruth Pierce, Bob Patrick, Carol Teter and Dave Patrick; and grandchildren, Jordan Springer, Caleb Springer and Brian Kinsey.
Calling hours will be at Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home on Saturday, Sept. 11, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be on Sunday, Sept. 12, at 11 a.m. at Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 N. High St., Mount Vernon. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens with Military Honors provided by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council.
