DANVILLE – Phyllis R. Arnold, 97, of Danville, formerly of Mount Vernon, passed away on Monday, Aug. 23, 2021, at Knox Community Hospital. She was born on Feb. 3, 1924, in Danville to the late Francis and Agnes (Blubaugh) Blubaugh.
Phyllis is survived by her sons, Thomas F. (Karen) Arnold of Mount Vernon, Steven J. Arnold of Mount Vernon and George A. (Brenda) Arnold of Danville; daughters, Susan A. (Frank) Diamond of Pataskala, Jane A. (Floyd) Stolzenburg of Columbus, Jean M (Stephen) Foucht of North Carolina and Judith A. (Randy) Miller of Danville; 15 living grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Glenn Blubaugh of Florida; sister, Ruth Ann Carlo of Mount Vernon; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Oliver Arnold; a son, John E. Arnold; a grandson, Michael Foucht; a granddaughter, Diamond; and sisters, Ethel Blubaugh, Lauretta Durbin and Mary Hunt Baker.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Father Homer Blubaugh as the Celebrant. Phyllis will be laid to rest beside her husband and son in Saint Luke Cemetery, Danville.
