The Kent Miller Colonial Fall Invitational was held Aug. 14 at the Hiawatha Golf Course with 20 teams from all over the state competing in the tournament.
The Yellow Jackets were able to string some excellent stretches of play at the tournament, but ended up finishing in 13th place. The top five Jackets shot 327, finishing behind winner Pickerington North, which shot 292.

Not to be deterred, the Mount Vernon Golf team posted on their Facebook page that they would keep preserving and continue to get better throughout the season as the tournament unfolded.
“Jackets are continuing to work and learn, and as a result, we’re improving individually and as a program. Scores are packed in tightly! We’re facing new situations every time we tee it up - let’s keep moving forward! #AllLittleThingsMatter,” they wrote.
