To the Editor: Support COVID-19 Relief
As summer comes to a close, the Delta variant has caused COVID cases to spike worldwide, with over 600,00 new cases of COVID-19 each day. In Knox County alone, the number of new cases each day has increased from one to 26 over the last week.
Right now, the CoVax Initiative is before Congress. This initiative will increase the distribution of COVID-vaccines to impoverished countries with little resources. The Borgen Project, which is an organization that works to eradicate global poverty, believes that passing the CoVax Initiative will improve global health worldwide and protect American citizens. As a Borgen Project ambassador, I am contacting our District 7 representatives to support this act. I urge you to do the same to protect the citizens of Knox County.
