MOUNT VERNON – Brice Louis Twigg, 85, of Mount Vernon passed away July 10, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Centerburg on March 27, 1936, to John and Osee Caroline (Cramer) Twigg.
Brice was an over the road truck driver for 60 years. From 2001-2016, Brice was driver and owner of Brice Twigg Enterprises. But his first love was for his family. The grandchildren were the joy of his life.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Helen (Garrad) Twigg; six children, Carol (John) Mann of Mount Vernon, Debbie Tyson of Florida, Pam (Bud) Bennett of Croton, Brice D. (Caroline) Twigg of Illinois, Lauri (Blake) Delgouffre of Mount Vernon and Patti (Dave) Diehl of Fredericktown; 13 grandchildren, Brandi (James) Twigg, Jacob (Courtney) Morningstar, Hether McVay (Andy), Staci (Frank) Schneider, Timothy (Amy) Tyson, Charles Twigg, Joseph Lange, Jodi Bennett, Daniel Lange, Gregory (Dominique) Twigg, Brice T. Twigg, Bailey Twigg and Alanna Diehl; 25 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Roger Twigg; one granddaughter, Mary Ann Mann; four brothers, Tom, Harley, David and John; and four sisters, Mary Shivley, Maxine Wilder, Margaret Van Houten and Betty Smith.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the AMVETS in Mount Vernon on July 19, from 3-6 p.m.
