Honey Buckets Tavern rallied for seven runs in the sixth inning to beat TJ Thorpe Trucking 13-9 on Sunday, June 13, at Memorial Park.
The win forces a tie between the two atop the standings of the Mount Vernon City Coed Softball League.
Brandon Davis and Adam O’Bryan had four hits each to lead Honey Buckets. Nate Davis and Ethan Abell both went deep.
Mike Patterson had four hits for TJ Thorpe.
TJ Thorpe Trucking 13, Elevate Insurance 12
TJ Thorpe Trucking took control with an eight-run third inning in a 13-12 win. Elevate Insurance battled back, scoring a run in the seventh before its rally stalled.
Artie McAndrews and Cole Pinkerton had four hits apiece to lead TJ Thorpe. Pinkerton homered and doubled.
Angie Hill had five hits, including a double, and Gatin Ridgeway and Miranda Martindale had four hits each for Elevate.
Cunningham Insurance 7, Team of Faith 6
Cunningham Insurance took the lead for good with a five-run first inning. Team of Faith rallied for three runs in the seventh but fell short in a 7-6 decision.
Jared Scoles had three hits, including a home run, to pace Cunningham.
Haley More led Team of Faith with three hits, including a double.
Melick Painting 13, Team of Faith 11 (6)
Down eight runs in the early innings, Melick Painting rallied for six runs in the fourth to take the lead on its way to a 13-11 win over Team of Faith.
Matt Ott had four hits, including a pair of doubles, to lead Melick.
George Hess doubled twice among three hits for Team of Faith.
Buckeye Crane 19, Furry Trails 16
The three runs Buckeye Crane scored in the top of the seventh inning ended up being the difference in winning a 19-16 slugfest over Furry Trails.
Tyler Berger hit two home runs and finished with three hits; and Sam Yoder added four hits, including a triple, to pace Buckeye Crane. Nelson Miller hit a triple among three hits, and Kierra Brim and Jared Stover had three hits apiece.
Lee Caudill went deep twice and added a double for Furry Trails, which rallied for five runs in the bottom of the seventh. Scott Thompson had three hits — all doubles — and Allison Whaley, Cait Keller and Shelby Gonzalez each went for three hits.
J. Gorsuch Construction 11, Melick Painting 7 (5)
Melick rallied for four runs in the fourth inning to take the lead, but J. Gorsuch struck last with six runs in the fifth to win an 11-7 shortened game.
Cody Smith had four hits, and Lindsay Gorsuch and Ray Goosetree added three hits apiece for J. Gorsuch. Goosetree hit a triple and Smith added a double.
Sarah Pope had three hits and Dylan Ware added two hits, including a home run, for Melick.
A+ Autobrokers 11, Complete Comfort 7
A+ put four runs on the board in the first inning and added five more in the second to cruise to an 11-7 win over Complete Comfort.
Dave Murphy had three hits, including a pair of doubles, and Bart Bland added a home run to lead A+.
Avery Mullins and Michael Vilfer had three hits each for Complete Comfort. One of Vilfer’s hits was a double.
Liberty Lawn Care 13, Presley Construction 8
Liberty took the lead with a run in the sixth inning and added four more in the seventh to pull away with a 13-8 win over Presley.
Brooklyn Tipton, Steve Fravel, Zack Calabretta and Kevin Ernest had three hits apiece. Calabretta hit a triple and a double, Ernest doubled twice, Tipton hit a double and Justin Wilt hit a big fly.
Dylan Colopy and Jason Stricker each went for three hits for Presley. One of Stricker’s hits was a double.
Presley Construction 10, Wedgewing Family Restaurant 5
Presley struck for a pair of runs in the first inning to take the lead for good and cruised to a 10-5 win over Wedgewing.
Jason Stricker and Lexi Curry had three hits each to pace Presley. One of Stricker’s hits was a double.
John Riggins and Zack Vespoor had three hits apiece for Wedgewing. Riggins hit a home run.
A+ Autobrokers 14, J. Gorsuch Construction 7
A+ Autobrokers scored four runs in both the fifth and seventh innings to roll to a 14-7 win over J. Gorsuch.
Bart Bland and Cody Myers led A+ with three hits each. Myers hit a home run and a double, and Bland doubled.
Alex Czernewski had four hits and Logan Smith added three hits, including a pair of doubles, for J. Gorsuch.
Bad Company 11, Relentless Stealth Land Management 4
Relentless Stealth scored twice in the top of the first inning, but Bad Company answered with three runs in the bottom half and never trailed again in an 11-4 win.
Azzure Hall had four hits, Jordan Burson had three hits — a triple short of the cycle — and Shawn Maxwell added a home run to pace Bad Company.
Colton Landis homered and finished with two hits. Kenny Rucker also had two hits for Relentless.
Relentless Stealth Land Management 19, FitMix 12
An eight-run third inning staked Relentless with enough cushion to hold off FitMix 19-12.
Cayleb Cole, Colton Landis and Cassie Rine each had four hits to lead Relentless. Landis doubled twice and Cole added one two-bagger.
Jeffrey Holdbrook and Ryan Bakley went for three hits each for Fitmix. One of Holdbrook’s hits was a double.
Bad Company 11, Precision Floors & Trim 3
Bad Company jumped out fast with four runs in the opening frame before coming back with three more in the second inning on its way to an 11-3 win over Precision Floors.
Justin Shaw hit two home runs and finished with four hits, and Jordan Burson and Casey Davala added three hits apiece to lead Bad Company. Burson hit two doubles.
Zack Walls, Ashley Wyatt and Anthony Miller had two hits each for Precision. Walls hit a home run, Miller doubled twice and Wyatt had a double.
Precision Floors & Trim 16, Wedgewing Family Restaurant 7
Precision Floors took the lead with three runs in the first inning and rolled to a 16-7 win over Wedgewing.
Kate Hernandez and Anthony Miller had three hits each to pace Precision. Miller hit a triple and Josh Burghard added a home run.
JJ Eshleman had three hits, including a double, and John Riggins homered and doubled for Wedgewing.
J. Gorsuch Construction 18, Cunningham Insurance 8 (6)
J. Gorsuch tallied five runs in the second inning to take control on its way to an 18-8 win in six innings over Cunningham Insurance.
Michala Fidler, Alex Czernewski and Logan Smith each hit a double among three hits; and Ray Goosetree added a home run to lead J. Gorsuch.
Jared Scoles and Mark Poland had three hits apiece for Cunningham. Poland homered and doubled, and Scoles doubled.
A+ Autobrokers 18, Relentless Stealth Land Management 6
A+ Autobrokers’ offense came together in the late stages, scoring 14 runs over the final three innings to roll to an 18-6 win over Relentless.
Dave Murphy homered and had four hits to lead A+. Bart Bland, Mark Walter, Mike Harter and Will Harter had three hits apiece. Bland and Walter each hit triples, and Mike and Will Harter both doubled.
Halie McGregor had three hits for Relentless.
Liberty Lawn Care 15, Furry Trails 2 (5)
Liberty started fast with a four-run first inning before putting it away with eight runs in the fifth in a 15-2 five-inning win over Furry Trails.
Zack Calabretta and Lacie Ernest had four hits apiece, and Kevin Ernest added a home run for Liberty.
Lee Caudill went deep for Furry Trails.
Cunningham Insurance 19, FitMix 6 (6)
Cunningham erupted for nine runs in the fourth inning on its way to a 19-6 win in six innings over FitMix.
Kenzie Rayburn and Josh Eckert had four hits apiece; and Jared Scoles, Mark Poland and Greg Lawson added three hits each to lead Cunningham. Poland homered and doubled twice, and Scoles added a home run and a double.
Jeffrey Holdbrook, Drew Johnson, Ryan Bakley and Aaron Swihart had two hits each for FitMix. Both of Johnson’s hits were doubles.
Elevate Insurance 23, Liberty Lawn Care 7 (5)
Elevate Insurance trailed by a run before it exploded for 13 runs on its way to a 23-7 win in five innings over Liberty Lawn Care.
Gatin Ridgeway and Kahea VanHouten had four hits each to lead Elevate. Ridgeway hit a triple and a double, and VanHouten added a double.
Brandon McLaughlin and Zack Calabritta had two hits each, and Justin Wilt hit a home run for Liberty. One of Calabritta’s hits was a double.

Honey Buckets jumped out to an early lead with a seven-run first inning and rolled to a 27-4 win in five innings over Buckeye Crane.
Taylor Watts and Ethan Abell each went for five hits to lead Honey Buckets. Abel hit a big fly and a triple as a part of his ledger.
Sam Yoder and Kiarra Brim had two hits each for Buckeye Crane.
