The Ohio State University Alumni Club of Knox County has awarded eight scholarships to outstanding Knox County students. 

Knox County high school seniors receiving awards are Alexis Rapp and Byron Justice of Mount Vernon High School and Lydia Stute of Fredericktown High School.  Mount Vernon High School senior Brianna Small is the "Big Ten" Thousand Scholarship Awardee. The "Big Ten" Scholarship is given to the top awardee.

Current OSU students awarded scholarships are Georgianna Caputo of Fredericktown, Sarah Lord of Mount Vernon, and Samuel Bassett and Joel Swartzentruber of Centerburg.

The scholarship criteria includes high academic performance, leadership qualities, extracurricular activities, honors and volunteer services.  Applications can be found on the club's website (osuknoxalumni.alumni.osu.edu) after Nov. 1. The alumni club has a long history of assisting Knox County students.
