FREDERICKTOWN – Harold Eugene Ebersole, 91 of Fredericktown, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021, at the County Court Care Center in Mount Vernon. He was born on June 13, 1929, in Fredericktown, to the late Harley “Jimmy” and Helen Ebersole.
Harold graduated from Fredericktown High School and soon after was drafted into the U.S. Army, where he proudly served his country in the Korean War. He was a member of VFW Post #4027 and Colonial City Moose Lodge #2555. Harold was also a life member of the Masonic Thrall Lodge #170 F & AM. He retired from IBEW, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers local #688 in Mansfield.
Harold loved airplanes, flying, boating and fishing. But most important were his friends and family.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Anne (Banner) Ebersole, whom he married on Sept. 26, 1953; and son, Gregg Ebersole.
Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 15, at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown. Burial will take place at 2 p.m. in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be provided by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
