MOUNT VERNON – The Mount Vernon High School In The Know academic team had a virtual quiz bowl season using Zoom and Buzzin.live.
Alaina Pullins, Jordan Treber, Bryce Ferrell and Nick Grega made up the varsity team; while the JV team was composed of Will Allar, Ethan Teet, Gannon Reilly, Charlie Comfort and Bailey Swihart.
The varsity team ranked third in the Ohio Cardinal Conference (OCC) Academic Challenge, despite playing at times without its entire team. They also won second place in the Mid-Ohio Academic Challenge Tournament.
The varsity and JV teams both placed second while competing for the first time in the Mid-Ohio Academic Challenge League.
WOSU's In The Know TV tournament, Licking County ESC's league and tournament, and the MV Public Library tournament against adult teams were all canceled due to COVID-19.
The team was led this year by Mr. Rob Fetters, with assistance from volunteer coaches Ms. Kathy Pullins and Ms. Abby Grandstaff.
