MOUNT VERNON – Carolyn “Joann” Bradley, 81, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021, at her home, with her loving family at her side. She was born on June 12, 1939, in Sparta, to the late Hoy and Ruth (Frazier) Hall.

Joann was employed and retired from the Mount Vernon Developmental Center after many years of service as a therapeutic program worker. She loved her family and enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s sporting events.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Bradley; her daughter, Connie (Dene) Rule; her sons, Tom (Jeanell) Branstool and Tim (Lisa) Branstool; six grandchildren, Erica Bayless, Jessica (Shawn) Schwarcz, Lindsay Reasoner, Lauren Branstool, Emily (Corey) Hostetler and Luke (Brittany) Branstool; eleven great-grandchildren; and her brother, Kendall (Galina) Hall.

In addition to her parents, Joann was preceded in death by her sister, Norma Jean Blair; and a brother, Michael Hall.

In keeping with Joann’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. The family observed a private service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joann’s name may be made to Capital City Hospice.
