CENTERBURG –Ronald David “Cub” Wolfinger, 88, of Centerburg, died peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021, at Mount Carmel East Hospital. Retired co-owner of Clintonville Radiator and Electric and lifelong farmer.

Born July 17, 1932, in Lancaster, to the late Frank D. and Emma (Klima) Wolfinger. Veteran U.S. Marines and Navy, Korea. Member of VFW Post 8794 Whitehall and AmVet Post 59 Centerburg.

“Cub” was a quiet, simple man and was a sly jokester. He enjoyed showing off his farm, giving tractor rides to his nieces and nephews and hosting the annual family reunion.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by step-mother, Alice (Markwood) Wolfinger; sisters, Bernadine Wolfinger and Rosemary Klima; brothers, Carl, Harold, Orville and Earl Wolfinger.

Cub is survived by brothers, Jerry (Luetta) Wolfinger of Powell and Tom (Iris) Wolfinger of Lancaster; sister, Nancy Grove of Cincinnati; niece and caretaker, Tonya (Ron) McDaniel; many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 21, at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 637 N. State Route 61, (at SR 3), Sunbury. Private family service and interment with military honors at Resurrection Cemetery.
