This is Gretel, she's this week's Pet of the Week.
Gretel is a 14-pound miniature Schnauzer that lives in Westerville, Ohio. She was purchased from a breeder as a puppy six years ago. She was intended to be a show dog; however, one of her teeth came in crooked and that unfortunately made her ineligible for showing but perfect for a pet.
Other than being a stinky little ball of fur, she is in perfect health.
Her favorite thing to do is go for long walks, and she very much anticipates her pinch of Wheaties cereal every morning — her very own breakfast of champions. Gretel travels from Westerville all the way to Mount Vernon to see David at Professional Pet Grooming every six weeks and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. David has been Gretel's groomer since she was born; she is definitely a professional when it comes to grooming.
A special 'thank you' to all the contestants for Pet of the Week. As the contest comes to an end, we here at Professional Pet Grooming would like to remind everyone that we are accepting new clients all the time. In the spring of 2021, we will be moving to 330 Wooster Road and offering Mount Vernon's very own self-serve dog wash. We are sure the community is going to love it. If you would like to help take part in the renovation process, donations are accepted and appreciated. Visit our GoFundMe page at gofund.me/f4421c78.
