MOUNT VERNON – The first baby born in 2021, at least at Knox Community Hospital, arrived on Jan. 2 at 11:53 in the morning. Lenna Hansel came into this world weighing 5 pounds 2 ounces and measuring 18 3/4-inches long.
"We have prayed for a long time for her," shared Ryan and Laura Hansel, proud parents of baby Lenna. "So to be able to become parents and to have the first baby is exciting!"
Her name, specially picked, is an old German name meaning "heart and strength of a lion."
Congratulations to the first little one of 2021!
