As a small business owner at the heart of the community for over three decades, Martha Edelblute, owner of Real Estate Pros, still puts in the long hours that are not uncommon to anyone running an independent business, but for her, it's worth it.
A member of the Knox County Board of Realtors, the Ohio Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors®, Edelblute is a multi-million producer every year, she said. She is also a member of four different Multiple Listing Services, which, like everything she does, helps her to better-serve her clients.
Edelblute founded Real Estate Pros with former partner Mason Ash in 1987, she said. She went on to obtain a Real Estate Technology degree and her broker's license in 1995, and has been running the firm by herself since Ash passed away nearly a decade ago.
With that extensive experience and knowledge, Edelblute commits herself to matching her clients with exactly what they need.
”I work very hard to help people, and I enjoy helping them find the perfect home," she said.
Edelblute said that helping clients make their real estate dreams come true is her driving motive as a realtor.
"I want them to be able to enjoy their life and enjoy their house," she said.
That personal touch is the same whether she is dealing with residential, land, resort or commercial real estate, she said.
And nothing says more about her abilities than the way so many new clients come to her because of recommendations from past clients.
"I work, basically, just on referrals from past clients," she said. "I have sold to grandparents, and then to the parents, and now I'm selling to the kids."
Ultimately, real estate is her life, Edelblute said.
