Mount Vernon Police raid West Chestnut apartment, arrest occupants for alleged drug-related activity

The Mount Vernon Police report they have conducted a raid on a Mount Vernon apartment where drug dealing is suspected. 

In a statement, Chief of Police Robert K. Morgan said the agency obtained a search warrant after an investigation led them to believe illicit drug-related activity was taking place. 

A raid was conducted on Nov. 20 at 2:15 p.m. at 807 West Chestnut Street, Apartment 4, in Mount Vernon. The building includes four units. 

“During the search, drugs, items of drug abuse and drug trafficking were seized. Several suspects were detained and Identified. Individual charges will be filed at a later date, as the investigation is ongoing,” the Mount Vernon Police said in a statement.
