Double “A” Outdoor Wear took the lead with a six-run second inning, but exploded with 20 runs in the sixth to run away with a 35-6 win in six innings over Foster’s Pharmacy in Mount Vernon Coed Softball League play.
Kenny Darr led Double “A” with six hits, including a pair of doubles. Josh Eckert had five hits, including a homer and two doubles; Andrea McClusky also had five hits, including a pair of doubles; and Austin Priest homered twice and had four hits.
Hailey Moore, Kassie Metcalfe and Luke Clemons had three hits apiece for Foster’s.
Buckeye Crane 20, Double “A” Outdoor Wear 10 (6)
Buckeye Crane blew up for nine runs in the first inning and rolled to a win over Double “A” Outdoor Wear.
Nelson Miller had five hits, two of them doubles, to lead Buckeye Crane.
Josh Eckertz topped Double “A” with two doubles on three hits overall.
Honey Buckets 32, Foster’s Pharmacy 2 (4)
Honey Buckets blew up for 14 runs in the first inning and added 15 more in the second, rolling to a big win over Foster’s Pharmacy.
Nate Davis had five hits, including a homer and three triples, to pace Honey Buckets.
Hailey Moore had a pair of hits for Foster’s.
Buckeye Crane 17, River Run Campground 5 (6)
Buckeye Crane struck for seven runs in the opening frame and added on from there in a win over River Run Campground.
Savannah Keyes led Buckeye Crane with four hits.
Tristin Caudill was one of four batters with two hits for River Run. Caudill led the way with a triple and a double.
Buckeye Crane 26, Howard Hilton 8 (5)
Buckeye Crane rallied for 10 runs in the first inning and rolled to a decisive win over Howard Hilton.
Grace Dunlap and Tiara VanHouten had four hits each for Buckeye Crane. VanHouten highlighted her game with a double.
Greg Huddleston had three hits, including a double, for Howard Hilton.
A+ Autobrokers 22, Presley Construction 11
A+ Autobrokers put up 16 runs over the first three innings of play to cruise to a win over Presley Construction.
Jenny Walter put together six hits, including a double, to pace A+.
Brody Blubaugh had three hits for Presley.
Howard Hilton 21, Conway’s Pharmacy 15 (5)
Howard Hilton rallied for 11 runs in the opening inning, overcoming an early three-run deficit in the process, and rolled from there to a win over Conway’s Pharmacy.
Allison Whaley and Matt Brady led Howard Hilton with four hits each.
RJ Yocum had four hits for Conway’s.
River Run Campground 15, Foster’s Pharmacy 1 (5)
River Run Campground scored all the runs it need with a seven-run first inning. But it added eight more in the third in a win over Foster’s.
Mike Troyer and Ashley Daugherty had three hits each to pace River Run. Troyer hit a pair of doubles.
Matt Ott tripled as his only hit. He was one of six batters with a hit each for Foster’s.
Dream Team 13, Elliston Refreshments 10
Dream Team rallied for six runs in the top of the sixth inning to beat Elliston Refreshments.
Anthony Miller paced Dream Team with three hits.
Cayleb Cole had four hits, including a double, for Elliston.
Ump Yours 16, Elliston Refreshments 2
Ump Yours took the lead with a three-run fourth inning before blowing it open with 10 runs in the seventh in a win over Elliston Refreshments.
Jared Scoles, Kayla Reedy and Shawn Maxwell had four hits apiece for Ump Yours. Reedy doubled twice and Scoles and Maxwell each had a double.
Cayleb Cole and Josh Edwards led Elliston with three hits apiece. Cole hit a pair of doubles.
Fitmix 21, Ump Yours 13
Trailing by five, Fitmix rallied for nine runs in the fourth inning to take the lead, cruising to a win over Ump Yours.
Jeff Holdbrook, Lauren Nickells and Kyle Hagerman had four hits each to pace Fitmix. Holdbrook and Nickells each doubled to highlight their respective efforts.
Lee Stainbrook had four hits, including a triple and a double, for Ump Yours.
