MOUNT VERNON – The Food For The Hungry Executive Board allocates 10% of the goal to grant applications to nonprofit groups in Knox County that distribute food to the needy.
This year, $24,000 will be distributed during the broadcast, with up to $2,000 in grants distributed to each organization.
The grant application is located on the Food For The Hungry website, foodforthehungrycares.org. Click on the “Who We Help” Tab and then click on Grant Application.
Applications are due by noon on Saturday, Nov. 21.
Grant awardees will be notified by Tuesday, Dec. 1, and announced during the Food For The Hungry live broadcast on Friday, Dec. 11, from the Memorial Theater at the Knox Memorial.
