Knox County Sheriff incident reports Oct. 27-28

The following incidents were reported by the Knox County Sheriff.

Oct. 27

Cows on loose, damaging property

  • Incident report - 9:44 a.m. - Spohn Road in Fredericktown
A complaint was made that a neighbor’s cows were out and were damaging his property.

Injured deer found

  • Incident report - 11:02 a.m. - Park Road in Mt. Vernon
An injured deer was found and the deputy dispatched one round from his duty-issued handgun. A report was made to document the incident.

Vehicle break-in in Mt. Vernon

  • Incident report - 12:56 p.m. - Vincent Road in Mt. Vernon
A complaint was made that someone broke into a vehicle overnight, but nothing was determined to be missing.

Child removal from Danville home

  • Incident report - 2:34 p.m. - Flat Run Road in Danville
Tuscarawas County Child Protective Services requested deputies respond to a child removal. The child was taken into custody and the grandparents were notified of a Shelter Care hearing.
