Halloween Hootenanny

Ariel-Foundation Park's Halloween Hootenanny will have local musicians, storytellers, photo opportunities and a scavenger hunt for guests to enjoy. The park is encouraging guests to stagger their arrival times in order to limit crowd size. Last names starting with A-F arrive at 4 p.m., G-M at 4:20 p.m., N-S at 4:40 p.m. and T-Z at 5 p.m. Protective facial masks are required when appropriate social distancing isn't possible. If there is inclement weather, the event will be canceled.

Centerburg Dental Care will hold a Trunk-or-Treat event.

Saturday, Oct. 31

Pumpkins in the Park

Join the Knox County Park District for Pumpkins in the Park at Wolf Run Regional Park. This event will feature carved pumpkins illuminating the Storybook Trail on a fall night hike through the park. The public is invited to attend as well as participate by creating a carved pumpkin relating to a storybook character or book title for the display. To submit an entry, visit the Knox County Park District website at www.knoxcountyparks.org and click on the Events tab. The deadline for entries is Oct. 29. Drop-off for the pumpkins will be Saturday, Oct. 31, from 10 a.m. to noon. On Nov. 1, the public is invited to vote on their favorite pumpkin as the Knox County Park District showcases all pumpkin entries on their Facebook page. Winners will be announced on Nov. 2. Facial coverings and social distancing on the trails will be required during the event.
