MOUNT VERNON — Marianne Springer (Engel), 79, was born in Chicago, Illinois, Jan. 7, 1940. She passed away at her home in Mount Vernon Monday morning, Aug. 26, 2019.
Marianne was married to the love of her life, Ernest E. Springer Jr., Oct. 15, 1960. They shared 58 wonderful years together as husband and wife. Together they enjoyed attending Brandon Baptist church, working hard, traveling and being with family.
She will be missed by her husband Ernest, who survives; three children, Dana Springer, Cort Springer and Tammy Compton; as well as her thirteen grandchildren and twenty nine great-grandchildren.
She will always be remembered as an awesome wife and mother.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of a funeral service at 12 noon on Thursday, Aug. 29, at the Brandon Baptist Church, 13513 Sycamore Road, Mount Vernon. Rev. Marvin Haught will be officiating. Burial will follow in Brandon Cemetery.
