According to Webster a bully is someone who tries to coerce someone who is vulnerable. On school playgrounds a bully might be a kid whose purpose is to be in power of others by making hurtful taunts and threats that hold others in fear. Bullies can be found most anywhere in our world today – in the workplace, in a domestic situation where one of the partners wants to be in control and hold the other as a hostage, cyberbullying. Our health and mind are affected.

Khara Strum, a conservation professional with deep ties to Ohio and experience with agricultural land protection, will become the next director of the Philander Chase Conservancy, starting July 18. She succeeds the conservancy’s longtime director Lisa Schott, Kenyon Class of 1980, who retires on June 30.

The Earth lost another Beautiful Soul on June 20, 2022. Barbara Jane (Knox) McClary, Born Oct. 4, 1964, in Mount Vernon, went Home to the Heavens peacefully in her sleep, unexpectedly, at the young age of 57.
