NEWARK – A private graveside service for Mildred M. Willey, 97, of Newark was held Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022.
Mildred Willey passed away on August 19, 2022, at The Inn at SharonBrooke. She was born March 31, 1925, in Fallsburg, to the late Alva Earl and Jennie Mabel (Beeson) Camp.
Mildred Willey was the broker at her real estate office of Willey Real Estate. She, along with her husband, Harold, also owned and operated the Legend Inn Motel and Restaurant. She and Harold were members of the Heisey Collectors of America and active at the National Heisey Glass Museum in Newark. Mildred was a member of Newark First United Methodist Church. She also attended the Frazeysburg United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Nancy (Tim) Singleton, of Newark; four grandchildren, Lisa (Jeff) Bowman, Cheri Wade (Don Schumacher), T. J. Singleton II and John Singleton; seven great-grandchildren, Kelsey Bowman, Seth Bowman, Emma Bowman, Shawn (Tina) Hendrickson, Hanna Wade, Rachel Wade and Arin Wade; several great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Patti Willey; cousin Dave Beeson; numerous nieces and nephews; and close friend Alma J. Cline.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Willey, whom she married May 9, 1942; son, James A. Willey; two sisters, Marie Davis and Grace Breeze; and her beloved dog, Mindy.
The family would like to thank the staff at SharonBrooke for the excellent care they provided Milly.
