A new speaker series called "The Woodward Exchange: Sharing What We Know. Growing Where We Live." is set to debut at the Woodward Opera House, aiming to inform, inspire, and connect the community through live presentations from Knox County residents.

Inspired by TED-style experiences, The Woodward Exchange will feature speakers from various fields such as business, agriculture, finance, government, the arts, communication, and technology. Organizers say the series is designed to offer meaningful insights and practical ideas relevant to local audiences. Each program will focus on a specific theme intended to encourage curiosity and conversation among attendees.

The opening session will highlight Entrepreneurship and include local business leaders Tyler McCann of Round Hill Dairy; John Ruckman Jr. of The Ruckman Group Auctions & Appraisals; and Cheyenne Peck of Howard Hanna Real Estate Services. These speakers are expected to discuss the challenges and lessons involved in building a business or career in today’s economy.

Future sessions are scheduled for July 21 with a focus on Creativity & Imagination; September 8 on Travel; and November 10 featuring Civil War Reenactment Personnel. All events will take place at the Woodward Opera House from 7:00–8:00 PM with free admission. Donations are welcome.

"At its core, The Woodward Exchange is about sharing what we know and growing where we live," Joe Bell said. "We have incredible knowledge and experience right here in our community. This series gives those voices a platform while creating space for learning, conversation, and connection." Marty Bell added that "This series is really about curiosity. When people come together to share what they know, it opens doors—for ideas, for understanding, and for building a stronger, more connected community."
