A portion of State Route 13 will be closed for two days beginning Monday, May 11, for necessary utility line work, according to the City of Mount Vernon OH. The closure will affect the area from West Sugar Street to West Burgess Street.
Residents seeking alternate routes during this temporary closure are advised to use the following detours: northbound traffic can take US 36 to State Route 314 to State Route 95 and back to State Route 13; southbound traffic can use State Route 95 to State Route 314 to State Route 229 and then US 36.
Weather permitting, officials say that State Route 13 is expected to reopen on Wednesday, May 13.
