Centerburg Local Schools are celebrating a season of achievement, highlighted by the robotics teams’ strong showing at the National Robotics Challenge.
Competing against schools from 40 states and Puerto Rico, the high school team earned a bronze award, while two middle school teams brought home silver and bronze honors. Advancing all three teams to the second day of competition was itself a remarkable milestone, underscoring the district’s growing reputation in STEM education.
Administrators praised the students’ dedication, noting that their success reflects countless hours of preparation and collaboration. The robotics program continues to inspire younger students while strengthening Centerburg’s commitment to hands‑on learning and problem‑solving skills.
The district also has a full calendar of academic and community events. On April 30, students will be recognized at the SOM Breakfast, followed by the 5th Grade Math OST testing on April 30–May 1. The 5th Grade Science OST will take place May 4–5. On Thursday, May 7, at 7:00 p.m., Centerburg Middle and High School will host the Academic Awards Banquet.

The April newsletter also highlighted important district updates. The Board of Education approved major facility projects, including the replacement of the HS/MS chiller and an elementary roof project beginning May 27. Donations totaling over $10,000 were accepted to support athletics, and the district renewed its sports medicine partnership with Nationwide Children’s Hospital through 2031.
From robotics triumphs to academic recognition and community traditions, Centerburg Local Schools continue to demonstrate excellence and pride in both student achievement and district growth.
