The 2025 Tiny Sculpture Show | Centerburg Public Library, Facebook

The Centerburg Public Library announced a series of community events scheduled throughout April and the coming months.

Local historian and library board member Gloria Parsisson will lead a Centerburg history presentation on April 30 at 7:00 p.m. The discussion group will focus on the early days of European settlement in the area from 1780 to 1830, before it became Hilliar, Bloomfield, Liberty, and Milford Townships. The session aims to share information about what motivated settlers to move to the region and how communities developed roads, schools, and churches. Additional programs covering later periods are planned for August and November 2026.

The library will also host LEGO Club sessions on April 18, May 16, June 20, July 18, and August 15 at 1:00 p.m. All ages are invited to participate in building activities with provided LEGOs. Each session runs from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m., offering a suggested theme or free building options.

Book Journaling workshops are scheduled for April 22, May 27, June 24, July 22, and August 26 at 6:00 p.m. Attendees can view staff journals for inspiration and work on their own journals using supplies provided by the library. Participants may bring their own journal or receive one at the event. There will be no Book Journaling sessions in November or December.

Storytime events take place every Monday from April 6 through May 4 at 11:00 a.m., featuring stories, songs, movement activities, and crafts designed for children ages zero to six years old. Older siblings and families are welcome to attend as well.

The first Tiny Sculpture Show is open from April 13 through April 17 starting at 10:00 a.m., with creations made by staff and patrons using air dry clay. The non-judged show highlights community creativity and runs through April 30 according to the official roster page.
