The Village of Gambier announced that water and sewer rates will increase beginning with the April 2026 billing cycle.

According to the announcement, village water rates will rise by 7 percent to reflect an increase in the monthly bill from Mount Vernon, where Gambier purchases its water. An annual sewer rate increase of 2 percent will also be applied.

The new minimum billing will be $13.91 per 1,000 gallons of water used and $12.97 per 1,000 gallons for sewer usage. The storm charge will remain unchanged at this time. The first bill reflecting these increases is due May 5, 2026.
