Main St. in Fredericktown, for a day of free family fun hosted by The Brickhouse Grind, where participants can check in to receive a map and bag before strolling along Main Street, visiting local businesses to collect pieces needed to complete a birdhouse, creating an engaging and interactive experience for all ages, and then gathering at the main tent to build and paint their birdhouses, take photos, and enjoy exciting giveaways, making this lively community event a perfect opportunity for families and friends to explore, create, and celebrate together in a festive springtime atmosphere.
Earth Day at the BFEC
Celebrate sustainability and community at Earth Day at the BFEC on Saturday, April 18, from Noon-3 p.m. at the Brown Family Environmental Center, located at 9781 Laymon Road in Gambier, where this special event invites everyone to take part in the center’s first-ever clothing, plant, and book swap aimed at reducing waste, highlighting that about 85% of textiles in the U.S. end up in landfills each year, encouraging participants to donate gently used, organized clothing, shoes, books, and plants throughout the week leading up to the event, and then return on April 18 to browse and take items for free, while also enjoying a food truck, children’s activities, and a fun, eco-friendly atmosphere.
