Homer Public Library announced a series of events scheduled throughout April, offering activities for children, teens, adults, and seniors.
The month begins with a Recipe Exchange on Friday, April 3 at 11:00 am. Participants are invited to bring a childhood favorite dish and its recipe. Guests are welcome to attend as taste testers without bringing food. Table service and drinks will be provided.
GetSetUp sessions for adults aged 55 and older will take place on Mondays—April 6, 13, 20, and 27—at 10:00 am. Led by Kathy, these meetups focus on exercise and health topics. Story Time for children from birth to preschool age is scheduled every Wednesday at 10:00 am except April 1; the session on April 8 will be a pajama-themed event.
The Ukulele Association of Homer meets on Thursday, April 9 and April 23 at 5:00 pm. The library offers ukuleles for lending and free lessons from an experienced player. All ages are welcome. Other programs include Homer Homeschoolers with a pollinators theme on Thursday, April 9 at 10:00 am; healthy eating habits for seniors presented by Shari Gallup from OSU Extension on Friday, April 10 at 11:00 am; Crafting with Ann Kimble making knotted cord bracelets on Tuesday, April 14 at 2:00 pm (registration required); Teen Crafting creating puzzle piece wall art later that day at 5:30 pm (registration required); Teen Movie & Pizza Night featuring a sequel to Men in Black (1997) on Thursday, April 16 at 5:00 pm (registration required); Brunch and a Movie showing Brave the Dark (202) on Friday, April 17 at 10:00 am (registration required); Community of Women gathering Wednesday, April 21 at 2:00 pm; Teen Paint Night Tuesday, April 21 at 5:30 pm (registration required); Book Club discussing "James" by Percival Everett Friday, April 24 at 11:00 am; Licking County Aging Partners meal followed by Y on the Fly exercise program Friday, April 24 starting noon; and Homer Historical Society meeting Friday, April 24 at 2:00 pm.
