Kudos Art Co-op will mark its 15th anniversary with "15 Years in Bloom," a public celebration on Friday, March 20, at its downtown Mount Vernon location, 10 South Main Street.

The three-hour event will feature an evening of music, art, and community connection.

The schedule opens at 5:00 p.m. with live jazz guitar by Andrew Clarkston, followed at 5:30 by a cake-cutting ceremony and remarks from Marsha. Clarkston returns for another set at 6:00, leading into an optional artist talk or mini demonstration at 6:30. Music resumes at 7:00, and raffle drawings—open to attendees with tickets distributed at the door—take place at 7:30. The celebration concludes at 8:00 p.m., wrapping up a milestone evening for the co-op and its supporters.

Organizers emphasize that the event is open to the public, inviting both longtime patrons and newcomers to join in honoring 15 years of creativity and collaboration in Mount Vernon’s art community.

Inspired by her artist son and photographer husband, Marsha Ernst founded Kudos Art Co-op with the support of fiber artists Linda Shaffer and Deborah Yorde. Today, the co-op has grown into a thriving collective of various local artists, all volunteering their time to run the gallery and support operations. Known for its diverse range of unique, handcrafted works, Kudos has become a destination for one-of-a-kind gifts and community connection. As the co-op marks 15 years, Ernst emphasizes its mission: fostering creativity, collaboration, and a welcoming space for art lovers.
