Updates can be made quickly and securely online at https://olvr.ohiosos.gov  or in person at designated registration locations throughout the county. Meeting this deadline ensures that your information is accurate and that you are ready to cast your ballot in May.

Early voting begins the very next day, April 7, 2026, and offers multiple opportunities for residents to vote ahead of Election Day. The schedule is as follows:

  • April 7–10, April 13–17, April 20–24: Weekdays, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • April 27–30: Extended weekday hours, 7:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. (April 28 until 8:30 p.m.)
  • May 1: 7:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
  • May 2: Saturday voting, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • May 3: Sunday voting, 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
In‑person absentee voting also opens on April 7, giving voters additional flexibility. All early voting will take place at the Knox County Board of Elections office, 104 E. Sugar Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio.

The Board of Elections emphasizes that keeping your registration current is essential for participating in Ohio’s elections. Whether you are registering for the first time or updating your information, acting before April 6 ensures your voice will be heard.

With early voting options and absentee ballots available, Knox County residents have multiple ways to make sure their vote counts in the May 2026 Primary Election.
