The Mount Vernon Downtown Merchants will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the Shamrock Stroll on Saturday, March 14, featuring specials, giveaways and a scavenger hunt throughout downtown.
“Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a festive day downtown on Saturday, March 14,” organizers said. “Enjoy themed fun, local shopping and a lively atmosphere as businesses join in the Shamrock Stroll celebration.”
Angry Acres Farm emphasized the event’s goal of bringing families and shoppers together while highlighting local businesses.
“Wear your green, bring your friends and family, and spend the day supporting local shops while enjoying the luck of the Irish,” the Farms said in its announcement.
The scavenger hunt invites participants to pick up a passport at any participating business, search for riddles hidden inside shops, record answers on the passport, and return the completed card to Angry Acres Farm to be entered into the Downtown Merchants giveaway.
The Shamrock Stroll continues a tradition of seasonal downtown events that encourage residents to explore Mount Vernon’s historic business district. Merchants said the day will include festive decorations, themed promotions, and opportunities to win prizes.
The event is open to all ages, and passports will be available at participating businesses on the day of the event. Organizers encouraged residents to bring family and friends to enjoy the scavenger hunt and take part in the giveaways.
