The East Knox Board of Education will hold its regular meeting on February 12, 2026, at the Elementary Library. The board will address various administrative and financial matters, including approving the agenda and discussing public participation policies.
During the meeting, Treasurer’s recommendations will be presented. These will include approving minutes from previous meetings, the January 2026 Financial Report, and necessary tax levies. Donations will be acknowledged with gratitude, including $150 from the Ohio Pork Council to the East Knox FCCLA and $3,000 from the Athletic Boosters for new helmets for the Athletic Department.
Budgetary amendments will also be approved across several funds, such as the General Fund and the Title I Disadvantaged Pupil Fund. The board will authorize submitting a financial forecast to the Department of Education and Workforce by February 28, 2026.
Superintendent recommendations will include updates to Neola Board Policies regarding transportation and drug testing. A Special Duty Law Enforcement Agreement with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office will be approved for event coverage throughout 2026 at $50 per hour. Other approvals will include a quote for cabinetry work by Farnham Equipment Company and membership in the Ohio High School Athletic Association for the 2026–2027 school year.
Personnel changes will also be discussed. Resignations due to retirement will be accepted from bus drivers Charles Dudgeon and William Miller. Several appointments will be made for substitute teachers and coaches for the ongoing school year.
The meeting will conclude with an executive session to consider employment matters related to public employees or officials.
