Faculty and staff at Mount Vernon Nazarene University gathered in Thorne Performance Hall to honor Dr. Rachel Young and Liz Stroop at the Excellence in the Call awards reception. Dr. Young, an Associate Professor of Social Work and MSW Program Director, along with Stroop, a Marketing Department Project Manager, were recognized for their commitment to the university's mission.
The award ceremony included recognition at an employee reception, a certificate, and a $500 prize. The honor is developed and sponsored by faculty and staff donors to acknowledge outstanding service, innovation, collegiality, peer leadership, and going beyond the call of duty. Awardees are nominated by peers and selected by the Excellence in the Call Award Committee.
