MVNU partners with C-TEC of Licking County for educational advancement

Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) and C-TEC of Licking County have formed a strategic partnership through MVNU's Gateway Partnership. This collaboration aims to enhance educational pathways, boost workforce development, and support students and adult learners in Central Ohio. The initiative will create clear routes from career and technical education to higher education, providing learners with necessary academic credentials and professional skills.

Tavaris E. Taylor, Special Assistant to the President for Strategic Initiatives at MVNU, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with C-TEC of Licking County. "We are excited to partner with such an innovative organization as C-TEC of Licking County," he said. He also praised Superintendent Snow and her team for their collaborative efforts in strengthening educational pathways across the region.

The Gateway Partnership offers businesses and nonprofit organizations opportunities to train and retain skilled employees through tailored educational programs that enhance professional competencies. This collaboration leverages MVNU's academic expertise alongside C-TEC's career-focused training model to develop effective retention strategies.

C-TEC Superintendent Michelle Snow highlighted the shared commitment to student success, stating, "C-TEC is proud to partner with Mount Vernon Nazarene University to expand meaningful pathways for students and adult learners across Central Ohio." She emphasized the importance of building opportunities that strengthen the workforce and support future talent needs.
