Angela Waite Student Recital
Join the Kenyon College Department of Music for the Angela Waite Student Recital on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026, at 7 p.m. in Brandi Recital Hall at Kenyon College in Mount Vernon, Ohio. This special evening showcases students who delivered outstanding performances during their most recent music jury, highlighting both technical achievement and musical expression. Audiences will enjoy a thoughtfully curated program representing a range of styles and instruments, performed by emerging musicians recognized for their dedication and growth. The recital offers a wonderful opportunity to experience the talent being developed within Kenyon College’s music program and to support students as they share the results of their hard work. Admission is open to the public, and all are welcome to attend.
Ribbon Cutting - The Salvation Army Learning Lighthouse
Join us for a meaningful community celebration at the Ribbon Cutting for The Salvation Army Learning Lighthouse and the newly renovated Corps Community Center on Sunday, January 18, 2026, in Mount Vernon. The day will begin with a Worship Service at 10 a.m., followed by the Ribbon Cutting at 2 p.m. and a Dedication Ceremony immediately afterward at 206 E. Ohio Ave. This special event marks an important milestone in expanding educational programs, outreach services, and community support for individuals and families throughout the area.
