Mount Vernon Nazarene University will host a traditional Advent worship service on December 3 at 7:15 p.m. in the R.R. Hodges Chapel/Auditorium. The event is open to the public and free of charge.

The service draws inspiration from the Anglican Church's Service of Nine Lessons and Carols. It will feature scripture readings by members of the university community and an Advent devotional by Rev. Dave Mills, who serves as MVNU’s Vice President for Spiritual Life & Church Relations.

Dr. Rebecca Abbott will perform on the organ, while various ensembles from the MVNU Music Department will present seasonal music selections. The program includes a special opening piece with combined groups performing "Come Thou Long Expected Jesus."
