Licking County Commissioners have awarded contracts for roofing work at the County Coroner's Office and the Justice Center, amounting to a total cost of $697,488. The decision was made during their meeting on November 20.

According to the meeting agenda, the contract for replacing the roof at the County Coroner's Office has been awarded to Saup-Hartley Roofing of Adamsville, Ohio, with a bid of $387,679. Watchel & McAnally Architects/Planners of Newark, serving as the city's consultant, recommended Saup-Hartley Roofing as they submitted the lowest bid. Other bids included Rooflynx LLC from Charleston, Indiana at $487,222; Superior Roof Systems from Howard, Ohio at $628,180; and RJK Roofing Solutions from Perry, Ohio with a bid of $557,000.

The commissioners also awarded a contract for the Licking County Justice Center roof membrane replacement project. According to Watchel & McAnally Architects/Planners' recommendation, Superior Roof Systems of Howard, Ohio was selected as the lowest and best responsive bidder. Competing bids were submitted by Rooflynx LLC at $328,745; Saup-Hartley Roofing at $377,227; RJK Roofing Solutions at $450,378; and Kalkreuth Roofing & Sheet Metal Inc. from Lewis Center, Ohio with a bid of $349,300.
